Call for to Publish ‘Stale Papers’ by The Dr. Kasembeli Research Centre
Many academic writers get stuck with a paper that they are writing at various stages of academic writing. This might because they are new to academic writing, or that they got derailed by various engagements and did not get to complete a paper they had started working on, or other times it is a paper that was rejected by peer reviewers, and they did not get the impetus to go back to it. The Dr. Kasembeli Research Centre is making a call for papers to writers who would like to revisit and revise papers/manuscripts that they have not worked on for over a year and prepare them towards publication.
Dr. Kasembeli Research Centre is offering a unique opportunity that will offer academic writers who are stuck with their work, a 6-month academic writing guided mentorship programme. The opportunity will include two online trainings, one on one consultations and write-up sessions.
The purpose of this call is to support writers to retrieve old unfinished papers/manuscripts through a support programme that will ensure that they prepare a quality manuscript for submission to a credible publisher in less than 6 months. This academic writing mentorship programme will offer support in the following key areas:
- Academic writing mentorship for authors who are stuck with their manuscripts
- Mentorship for first time academic writers
- Psychological support for writers
- One on one guidance with a mentor
- Pair writers with experts in their field for expert support
- Peer-review and feedback
- Identify the right journal to publish in
There will be a fee attached to facilitating the programme. Apply at our webpage http://drkasembelicentre.org or send your email to serah@drkasembelicentre.org to register your interest in the programme, together with the paper/manuscript that you would like to work with the Dr. Kasembeli Research Centre on.
Applications are open and ongoing from the 6th of January 2025 up to 31st of January 2025.
